It was once again time to get ready for the Fall Booyah party so we got out the veggies and proceeded to help the lodge cut them up for some of the best Booyah around. The next day their hard work was rewarded as they were able to enjoy Booyah and Hot Dogs while doing face painting. Thanks to Liz Kolarik, Celia Kolarik, Rhiley Linssen, Rhea Linssen and Grace Kleiber for helping out during the event.

We were fortunate to have three YELL members travel to the National Convention in Cedar Rapids. Liz Kolarik and Courtney Steinberger attended as delegates to the Convention and Celia Kolarik attended the 1st Youth Conference. Celia also sang the National Anthem during the opening ceremony. In addition to the business meeting, the kids were able to go to the Czech museum, learn czech dances and do a service project for Kids Against Hunger.
We welcomed the chance to help our veterans at their annual Pancake and Porkie Breakfast event. Thanks to Addison Groehler, Kaitlyn Knuth and Celia Kolarik for their "hoptuitness" and hard work during this very busy morning. The veterans really appreciate the extra hands and feet to keep all their customers happy.
Another great multi-lodge event that was well attended by the YELL 108 group. We had Kristin Pribyl and Liz Kolarik come back from college to join Rhea Linssen, Rhiley Linssen, Celia Kolarik, Sam Halada and Alaina Thompson at this event. The kids had a blast bowling - it is always fun to watch them enjoying each other's company!
Claire Hall, Celia Kolarik and Sydney Puyleart all joined in with Lodge 108 members in sorting the donations at St. Vinnies. The kids always have a great time and bring a lot of fun to the event. You never know just what they will do with the items they find in the bins. This year they even found a Prom Dress!

Time again for the annual baking and decorating of Valentine's Day cookies. Once again we had a great group of kids helping to decorate and deliver cookies to 3 Bears Daycare, Harmony House and the Red Cross. Those who received the cookies greatly enjoyed them.
Lodge Christmas party was so much fun! We had several members show up to help make ornaments and paint faces. Thanks to Hannah, Clare, Celia and Addy for the help!
Our wfla YELL! 108 youth group is going without food for 30 hours to raise money so others can eat — because it's not right that nearly 19,000 children under 5 are dying every day. The good news? Just $35 will help feed and care for a child for a month!
Our goal is to raise at least $425 — enough to feed and care for a child for just over a year. All you have to do is click one of the orange buttons below to give your gift! Your gift is tax-deductible. MORE WAYS YOU CAN HELP US REACH OUR GOAL:Post our page using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or your blog! HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS STOP HUNGER World Vision fights hunger by: -Teaching parents improved farming techniques. -Equipping families to grow crops and raise healthier livestock. -Improving access to clean water for nutritious harvests. -Helping children get basic medical care (because hunger is linked to nearly half of all preventable child deaths). -Supporting malnutrition centers when there's a food crisis. -Providing emergency food supplies when there's a disaster. The program provides the community with the chance to send messages of thanks and holiday cheer to military members, veterans and their families.Sending holiday cards to these individuals is an easy but meaningful way to thank our nation’s 2 million service members and 24 million veterans.
The event was held during enhancement on November 13th. The group wrote messages of holiday cheer in over 300 cards to send to our military families! We will be taking the cards to the local Red Cross next week and they will be sending them out in time for Christmas. |
